March 2026 Board Letter from Vice-Chair Pepper

In 2026, we’ll be featuring voices from members of Nevada County Pride’s incredible board. This month, we’re thrilled to share a message from Pepper. Pepper is a longtime community advocate and founding board member, serving as Vice Chair and supporting development, social media, our business liaison work, and community resources.

Dear Community,
As we move into March, I’m feeling especially grateful for the incredible community we’re building together at Nevada County Pride. Our mission is to celebrate, support, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community in western Nevada County by promoting community, diversity, and respect through events, education, and resources — and that mission comes to life because of you. Here in Nevada County, Pride isn’t just a moment; it’s a movement we nurture all year long.

Your support allows us to host vibrant community events, expand meaningful educational opportunities, and provide swag and materials to local school organizations so students feel seen and supported. We also contribute to other area nonprofits with similar missions, strengthening the broader network of care and advocacy across our region. In the months ahead, we’re excited to begin deeper conversations about the possibility of creating a dedicated community space — a place to gather, learn, celebrate, organize, and simply be. Imagine a year-round home for Pride right here in our county.

If you believe in building a community rooted in belonging, visibility, and respect, we invite you to support this work. Together, we can continue growing something lasting and meaningful.
