June is Pride Month, and we’re celebrating all month long with a bunch of empowering events that honor love, identity, and community. From our fifth annual Pride Flag Raising to the heartwarming Pride Family Picnic, this season is all about showing up, standing proud, and making joyful memories together. Pride Flags in Nevada City are Raised for 5th Year!

Thanks to all the community members who filled York Street on Sunday June 1st to celebrate the raising of the Pride Flag on City Hall for the 5th year and then help put up flags on all the Nevada City streets! The speakers and cast from “Fun Home”, now showing at the Nevada Theatre, were inspiring and brought joy and laughter to the gathering. Thanks to YubaNet for donating the flags for the 5th year! Go visit downtown and check them out.

Round Up at the Register at Briar Patch
For the month of June you can round up your change to support our amazing and ongoing programs, events and potlucks in the community. It will be a GREAT month to shop at Briar Patch!

Our Community Support Groups Meet During the Summer

Looking for a safe, supportive space to connect and share? Join us on the first Saturday of each month at the Madelyn Helling Library in Nevada City for free, confidential, and casual support/discussion groups.

1pm to 2pm: Parents of Transgender & Nonbinary Children

2pm to 3pm: Transgender Community (18 & over)

These gatherings are open and welcoming to all, offering an opportunity for community building, sharing experiences, and mutual support.
