Who We Are

We are a social network of gays and lesbians in western Nevada County in California. We are open to all members of the LGBT community and encourage everyone to initiate, organize and support events for our group:
  • Monthly Potlucks at private or public venues
  • Attendance of cultural events
  • Outdoor activities
  • Restaurant gatherings

How do we communicate with each other? Outside of Potluck events themselves, we periodically send email and regular mail (for those who don’t have email addresses) to notify you of upcoming events (directions to Potlucks, etc.). We have a Nevada County Pride announcements-only email list and a Bulletin Board System (BBS) available. Our all-volunteer Steering Committee meets every two months to make sure that we continue to find hosts for Potlucks.

Western Nevada County has a local chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) which can be contacted at:

Please include your phone number and the best time to call. Send your email to social@nevadacountypride.org  A member of our Steering Committee will call or respond, then add you to the list. We have this procedure in place to protect the privacy and security of our Potluck hosts.
